| Bio: | So. Me. My least favorite topic. Well, I'm 38, about 235 lbs, brown hair and eyes, and decidedly non-athletic. I have exercise induced asthma, and am naturally [[nocturnal]], being descended from a long line of [[musicians]] on both sides of my family. I myself am a [[system administrator]] as I didn't want my children to starve like I did. Having been married 4 times, ironically, it's I that now starve, since most of what I make goes to said children. Like a glutton for punishment, I want more kids. I mean, hey, just because I married Mrs. Wrong-for-me 4 times doesn't mean that NO ONE out there can put up with my neurotic bullshit, er, I mean, winning personality! (Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket!) I'm both [[Buddhist]] and [[Catholic]]. And if you're also Catholic and marriage minded, be warned now that I can't get married in the Church for obvious reasons. Ask #4 to get an annulment first or something, anyway. I'm not that interested. Mind you, it's not that I don't want to get married, and it's not that marriage isn't a big deal - it's more that I am filled with ennui at the prospect of another divorce. So, Mrs. 5 will have to be very very special, and must have large breasts! Ok, so, I'm kidding about the breasts, but hey, I can dream, right? I love film. If I were to list all the movies I like here, I'd run the webserver out of drive space. Some of my all time favorites however include, 1985's camp classic [[Clue]], [[The Rocky Horror Picture Show]], [[Full Metal Jacket]], [[Saving Private Ryan]], [[The Matrix]], [[2001:A Space Oddesy]], [[The Breakfast Club]], [[Fast Times At Ridgemont High]], [[But I'm A Cheerleader]], etc. etc. etc. Yes, I am a child of the '80's. I also love music. I play [[bass]], and I can sing reasonably well. I've been paid to sing, and I've played bass in front of a crowd of 20000, so I can't be too bad. I guess. Not my main focus (see notes above about children not starving). A lot of the music I like the most will be things you've most likely not heard of. Take for example [[Merryn Cadell]]. Truly brilliant, but Canadian, so I doubt you've heard of her. Some of the stuff I like that you might have heard of include [[NOFX]], [[Oingo Boingo]], [["Weird" Al Yankovic]], [[The Great Luke Ski]], [[Ani DiFranco]], [[Pink Floyd]], [[Frank Zappa]], [[Richard Cheese]] and much, much more. I love to play games. Games are one of my primary diversions in life. I mostly like roll playing games, and I don't mean these new, fake computer based RPG's. If you like RPG's, I play just about anything (except for Rollmaster and Spacemaster, which I like to refer to as Chartmaster). System really does matter when playing RPG's. You can tell anyone who says otherwise that I said they were wrong, ok!?! :-) I like to play in [[white-wolf]]'s [[World of Darkness]] setting the most. The WoD games include [[Vampire]], [[Mage]], [[Werewolf]], [[Promethian]], and [[Changeling]]. I have some college education, but have lately been thinking that it would be a good idea to go back and actually finish my degree. I'm not sure if I want to major in [[Computer Science]], or [[English]]. I'm leaning toward English with a CS minor, since what I really want to do is write for a living. That brings up books. Books and authors I like include [[Varley]], [[Asimov]], [[Tolkien]], [[Heinlein]], [[Moorcock]], [[Brooks]], [[Clavell]], [[Rowling]] and many more. I loved the Harry Potter series, and Brooks' Shanara books are very under rated. I must confess that I do have a guilty pleasure - [[Star Wars]] books. Yes, I know, I know. Still. I can't help it! I am also a HUGE [[comic book]] fan. Most X titles (like [[Uncanny X-Men]]) but also [[Spiderman]], [[Daredevil]], [[Avengers]], [[Iron Man]] and many more. If you haven't read Alan Moore's [[The Watchmen]], then I am not suprised that you don't take comic's seriously. Read it. Seriously. It's worth it. I'm also a huge fan of [[Japanamation]] like [[manga]] and [[anime]]. Things like [[Vampire Hunter D]], [[Macross]], or [[Robotech]] as it was called here in the US, [[Akira]] and more modern stuff like [[Ghost in the Shell]] which I absolutely love. | |||||
